Well it that time of year again where you dress up, grab a date and head off to the DSP Scrappies!! I am quite proud of the fact that I have been nominated for 3 awards this year (my first time)
   * Best double pager

   * Best Fantasy layout

   * Best Extraction

The layouts are amazing and I am quite honoured to be up there with the best....winners to be announced June 26 8.30pm EST which I think is 10.30am Monday morn for us here. Fingers crossed I win maybe one of these :)... but I have checked out the competition and I against the best of the best!!!!

Hi all. It has been a while since I have written...again!!! Not very good at keeping up to date!!

I have been creating pet elements for a cat and a dog page I have been creating. Mum does a lot of market stalls and I decided to see what would happen if I put a few premade framed digital layouts out for sale as well. I have been creating my own papers, elements etc for these layouts...what do you think of my pet pages?

Well, I have been playing around with making papers etc. I did a layout using a paper, font and element I recently made...slowly making a little collection of stuff. I am in the process of making a full kit out of it, but here is the layout I made.

Well it's been a while...I have finished my DET term at Digital Scrapbook Place and I must say I haven't done much scrapping since then...bit of a rest for the ole creative mind :) . But...I have been playing around with my new MAC which has been keeping me busy.
It is time to take what I am doing a lot more seriously now and I have decided to try my hand at designing!! This could be a complete flop, but I'll never know unless I try.. but I will keep my posts going here and share what I create.
So I am off to explore .....

Well this is my last month on the Digital Elite Team at Digital Scrapbook Place. I have been there for 12 months now and it is my time to stand down for a term. I have mixed feelings about this, on one hand it will give me time to work on my passion to scrap for others and start a scrapping business, on the other hand I will feel a little lost not having so much contact with the other members at the site. It is a lot of fun but it is also a lot of hard work getting out min 10 LO's per month. Well the DET comp has begun and I am looking forward to seeing who makes it thru...

Well I was so excited to have this kit to create a loving layout for my gorgeous hubby. I dont do enough layouts of him at all. Yours Trulee Value Collection by Marcee Duggar is just an outstanding kit, the quotes are beautiful, the colours are fabulous, the elements are amazing, the papers are terrific...this one is a real keeper and one you will use over and over again.

The wonderful textures in Laurens kits I feel are her trademark and this one is no exception. Stunning papers and terrific elements to match. Well as soon as I came across the Misty Blue Mountains Kit and the Misty Blue Mountains 2 Kit - Value Collection by Erica Belton I ran to my photo chest and went thru hundreds of photos..knowing what I was looking for!! Years ago, I spent a week with an American girlfriend of mine showing her the south coast and of course the blue mountains...we called it the "Thelma & Louise" car trip and wow we had a lot of fun!!!

This is a photo postcard of my grandfather from the war to my grandmother. I have scanned his hand writing on the back to add to my layout...I have really enjoyed going thru these old photos of mums.

The products of this months club dig work together so well, I just loved making this layout.

Well I was just SO excited when I saw Marcee's new Ruthee Value Collection!!! Oh the colours!!! Oh Oh the papers!!! Oh Oh Oh the Elements!!!
I just had to do a double pager with this...there was just too much I wanted to use in this kit and I just couldnt decide on which GORGEOUS paper to use first so I literally tried to use them ALL!!!

Third time camping with this great group of friends and another
fantastic trip! We found a terrific place down the Sth Coast
and camped for 2 weeks there.We spent days at the beach
playing in the sand and surfing, days on the river fishing and

I had a brilliant idea the other day...give my art as a gift!! I wanted to say a big thank you to all my boys teachers. They work so hard and tirelessly to educate, encourage and nuture the kids in their care and we may not say it enough but WOW!!!THANK YOU!!! All my boys really enjoy school, they enjoy their teachers and sometimes...when I can get them to talk in the afternoon...they tell me of the fun they have had in the day. This makes me a happy parent...a happy mummy.
This is an example of my gift, each teacher got their name on their card and I put a photo each of Bax, Arch & Kobe. This one below was of Kobe.

Almost 40

Although it is 3 months away, I have started thinking about what I am going to do for my 40th...but as I was thinking of what kind of gathering I wanted it brought me to the reality that I am turning 40 next year!!!very soon!!! Where did that time go...hmmm

Wedding Layouts

About a year or so ago I started to realise that people really liked what I was creating with my scrapbooking layouts and as I progressed from traditional paper scrapbooking to digital scrapbooking my confidence and my creativity grew and grew.
A friend of mine asked me if I did wedding layouts as she had a Wedding Expo coming up and she would love me to be a part of it. Well, after a little bit of convincing from my family and friends, I decided to give it a go and see if this was something I could do and see if it was something people wanted. My friend introduced me to a fantastic local photographer, Lisa Lent and she gave me the wonderful opportunity of creating some wedding layouts using her photos. I decided to create 6 different layouts for the day, as you see below.

I found that a wedding expo was not the right place to get clients as the people there were looking for things for the day not for after the day...but...my feedback was fantastic, people loved my creative touch on a wedding photo...I had so many people ask if it was ONLY weddings I did...this is when I decided I could make this a job when my kids went to school.

My best friend got married this year and I did her invitations and thank you notes and I have been gradually scrapping some layouts of that special day.

and the other day a friend of mine had a gorgeous photo of her daughter parading in a wedding expo in this adorable red dress...I just had to scrap it.

So this is just a sample of what I can create.

As with these layouts, many products from various artist were used. If I were to use any products that were not mine in the sale of a layout, , I would firstly obtain a commercial license for them.

Some other layouts I have created with these few designs...just to see how different each layout can look when customed to your photo.

It's begining to look a lot like Christmas!

hee hee hee hee hee!!!! We were making silly photos for a xmas card the other day, looking like we were being chased by a snow ball. The kids and I woke Changa up (as it was still early on Sunday morn) and told to to run away!!! This is the photo I ended up with and when I got Meryls kit..this LO just sprang in my mind...I can tell you although laughing...he's not too sure if he likes it up for all to see...hee hee hee (he'll get over it!!)

Loving the bright colours of Robyn's Kit, it is great for our Summer Xmas photos over here in Aus. This is one of Archie last year, the boys had just opened their presents (surfboards) and then had a huge rumble in the paper, I just love his expression...such glee!!

I am loving all these Christmassy kits from DSP...I havent scrapped any Christmas layouts for quite a while and it has been lots of fun!! At the begining of the year we went camping with 5 families and one day we went off to the local zoo in Mojo, a gorgeous little town. We were blown away by how wonderful this small zoo was and how happy the animals seemed to be...this giraffe was looking very happy after a big feed by some of the visitors.

Baxter's first Cub Scout camp

Baxter went away this weekend on his first Cub Scout camp..I was so excited for him but so nervous about leaving him so far away from me. We drove up to Swansea, set up his tent and left him there with his friend Caine and their scout group...I honestly dont think I stopped thinking about him all weekend and when we finally went to pick him up on Sunday I couldn't wait to hear all about their time and he was so tired he fell asleep before we left the camp ground... I had to wait until that night to get the goss.... they had a great time but were a little dissapointed there was no camp fire and marshmallows!! I would of been too...

Lost my MOJO!!

It is funny how one day you could be on a roll...everything just "works" for you. My last few layouts have been like that...just have the right picture...the right ideas and everything falls into place. But tonight I just can't get it right, no matter what paper I bring up, what photo I chose, nothing is working.....

When I opened Nicoles Love Falls Page Kit I was thinking romantic when I finished I was scrapping the kids playing in the rain at the waterfront!! WOW how versatile can a kit be I aslo used Nicoles gorgeous Vintage Memoirs Word Art (blog freebie).

This is an old favourite photo shoot I had done of the kids...gosh...4 years ago now...I remember it as if it was yesterday. It had been raining for days and the kids and I were getting very house bound so we put on the wellies and went to the waterfront. The kids had so much fun splashing around..and of course Archie had to fall over!! I had to strip them down to nothing with a towel wrapped around them to go home..they were giggling the whole way. Great memory

Well.... It's time to get going and start a blog..who knows where this will take me...who knows what I will write, one thing I do know is you will see a lot of scrapbooking.

I am on the Digital Elite Team (DET) of www.digitalscrapbookplace.com . This is my 2nd term which takes me to March 2010 and then I will have to retire, for at least one term, then I am eligable to try again if I please.
